LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Otterbein men's cross country team delivered a strong outing at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championship on Saturday, held at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park and hosted by Spalding University.
In a field of 272 runners, senior Payne Ratliff paced the Cardinals with a standout fourth-place finish in 25:03. Junior Caleb Rafferty followed in 31st at 25:51, while junior Mitch Green secured 37th with a 26:00 clocking.
Senior David Hartman notched a personal best of 26:17, trimming three seconds off his previous mark. Junior Brady Pugh posted 26:34, junior Corey Rafferty ran 26:40, and sophomore Tucker See completed the lineup in 27:33.
Otterbein finished fifth overall out of 37 teams, totaling 201 points.
With regionals now complete, teams and individuals await the NCAA's full selection announcement on Sunday, Nov. 16. Only the regional champion earns the automatic qualifier, while the remaining 22 team spots and individual at-large selections will be determined by committee. The NCAA Championships will take place Nov. 23 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
