LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Otterbein women's cross country team wrapped up its season at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championship on Saturday, competing at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in an event hosted by Spalding University.
In a field of 260 runners, freshman Kate Thormeier paced the Cardinals with a 23:34, placing 61st in a competitive field. Sophomore Brenna Lay followed in 23:41, with junior Abby Kobs close behind in 23:48.
Freshman Ella Degenhard turned in a 24:02, while junior Ava Stratmann crossed in 24:15. Freshman Ollie Smith rounded out the lineup at 24:36.
As a team, Otterbein finished 11th overall with 370 points. Trine captured the regional title with 58 points.
