Baum, Scott collect AVCA All-Region honors

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Otterbein volleyball's Emerson Baum and Lexi Scott have been named to the AVCA All-Region Team, as announced on Wednesday.

Baum, who was the AVCA Region 7 Freshman of the Year a season ago, was named to the First Team. The sophomore currently leads Otterbein with 338 kills and 98 total blocks. She was named a First Team All-OAC selection and holds a .325 attack percentage so far. Baum's 33 service aces are good for second on Otterbein's team.

Scott has enjoyed a solid campaign as a junior, being named to the Honorable Mention team. With 295 kills, she ranks second on the squad and has contributed 23 total blocks. Like Baum, she achieved All-OAC status as a Second Team honoree.

The Cardinals will face off against Wittenberg on Thursday in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. Game time is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
