Emerson Baum: All-American

The sophomore was named the 18th All-American in Otterbein volleyball program history on Wednesday.

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Emerson Baum can add All-American to the list of accolades in her outstanding 2025 campaign. On Wednesday, the sophomore was named to the AVCA All-America Second Team.

Baum turned in an incredible season, leading the Cardinals to a 24-6 overall record and their fourth straight OAC Tournament Championship, while also earning a share of the OAC Regular Season crown. The middle blocker was named to the All-OAC First Team and was an AVCA First Team All-Region VII selection. She is just the fourth Cardinal to achieve Second Team All-American status or higher.

Baum floored 358 kills and hit .325 on the season. Defensively, she was just as impressive, recording 100 total blocks. She added 36 service aces and averaged 3.54 kills per set.

Otterbein concluded its season in the NCAA Tournament last week, their fifth consecutive and 11th in program history.
