WESTERVILLE - Graduate students Mark Wischmeyer and Drew Holman headline a list of five Otterbein men's soccer student-athletes recognized by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) for their efforts on the field and/or in the classroom during the 2024 season.

Wischmeyer and Holman each were named to the 2024 OCSA All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio teams in NCAA Division III men's soccer. Wischmeyer was a Second Team All-Ohio and First Team Academic All-Ohio selection, and Holman earned Third Team All-Ohio and First Team Academic All-Ohio recognition.

Freshman Jason Villalobos and senior Nick Isaac joined Wischmeyer on the All-Ohio Second Team, and junior Jacob Irani was also recognized as a First Team Academic All-Ohio honoree.

Wischmeyer, a defender, adds these latest accolades to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region VII Third Team, All-Ohio Athletic Conference First Team and Academic All-OAC honors he earned this season. He is now a back-to-back All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio honoree.

Wischmeyer led an Otterbein defense that ranked first in the OAC in shutouts (12) and tied for the league lead in GAA (0.85) while ranking second in fewest goals allowed (19). He played in 21 games, making 20 starts, and contributed one goal offensively.

Named the OAC Defender of the Year in 2023, Wischmeyer has 21 career points on six goals and nine assists in 79 games, including 77 starts.

Wischmeyer has become a well decorated student-athlete, highlighted by his 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team selection in becoming the Otterbein men's soccer program's first Academic All-American in over a decade. His career honors also include three All-OAC and Academic All-OAC accolades and a pair of CSC Academic All-District selections.

Holman, a midfielder, is now a four-time All-Ohio and three-time Academic All-Ohio selection. He was a 2024 All-OAC Second Team pick and earned a spot on the All-OAC Tournament Team. He started all 22 games and recorded seven points on two goals and three assists.

Another Cardinal with a well decorated career, Holman is a five-time All-OAC and three-time Academic All-OAC selection and two-time CSC Academic All-District and Academic All-OAC honoree. He has started all 90 of his career games at Otterbein, racking up 35 points on 13 goals and nine assists.

Villalobos, the 2024 OAC Goalkeeper of the Year and First Team All-OAC pick, put together a standout freshman season, starting all 22 of the Cardinals' games and playing all but 13 minutes as a stalwart in goal. He ranked first in the OAC in goalie minutes (1,986:43) and shutouts (12). He recorded five more shutouts than any other goalkeeper in the league and ranked second in the conference in wins (12), GAA (0.82), save percentage (.809) and saves (76).

Named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region VII Second Team and a four-time OAC Defensive Player of the Week this season, Villalobos was also selected to the All-OAC Tournament Team for his performance in the Cardinals' run to the conference tournament championship.

Isaac, a forward, earns his first All-Ohio accolade as a Cardinal after transferring from Ohio State following the 2022 season. A United Soccer Coach All-Region VII Second Team and All-OAC First Team selection this season, he started all 22 games and was the Cardinals' top offensive player. He recorded 30 points on eight goals and 14 assists and had four game-winning goals to his credit. He led the OAC in assists and tied for second in game-winning goals while ranking fifth in points and tied for seventh in goals.

Named OAC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 23, Isaac recorded his 14th assist of the season in the tournament win at Mount Union to surpass Rod Borah ('99) as the program's all-time record-holder for single-season assists, and joined Villalobos on the All-OAC Tournament Team.

In two seasons at Otterbein, Isaac has 48 points on 14 goals and 20 assists in 39 games, including 38 starts.

Irani, a defender, earns his first Academic All-Ohio recognition after starting all 22 of the Cardinals' games in 2024 and picking up CSC Academic All-District, Academic All-OAC and All-OAC Tournament Team honors.

The two-time Academic All-OAC selection closed 2024 with six points on three goals, including two in Otterbein's 5-1 win over Wilmington in the first round of the OAC Tournament en route to earning All-Tournament recognition.

In 60 career games, including 58 starts, Irani has 11 points on three goals and five assists.

Under eighth-year head coach Jason Griffiths, the Cardinals closed the 2024 season with an overall record of 12-7-3 and finished third in the OAC with a 6-3 mark in league play en route to winning the program's seventh OAC Tournament title and earning a berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
