Rachel Miller earned placement on the All-Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Team for the 2025 season, the league announced on Tuesday.
Both Heller and Miller were named to the All-OAC First Team. This marks the third career All-OAC accolade for Heller and the first for Miller.
Heller put together an impressive fifth-year campaign, posting a .464 batting average with 39 hits, 11 doubles, one home run, 24 RBIs, 16 runs scored and four stolen bases in playing 30 of the team's 31 games, including 28 starts. She opened the season with an 11-game hitting streak and tallied 10 multi-hit games. Her highlight performance was a 5-for-5 outing with one home run, one double, three RBIs and four runs at Ohio Northern on April 22. She led the team in batting average, hits and doubles and ranked second in RBIs. As of Friday, she ranked fifth in the OAC in batting average.
A Second Team All-OAC honoree in 2023 and an Honorable Mention pick in 2022, Heller has played in 143 career games at Otterbein, including 134 starts, in five seasons. She is a career .363 hitter with 154 hits, 38 doubles, three home runs, 85 RBIs, 56 runs and 11 steals. She ranks third all-time at Otterbein in doubles, seventh in RBIs and tied for 11th in hits.
A College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and Academic All-OAC honoree in 2024, Miller earns All-OAC recognition this season after posting a .400 batting average with 32 hits, nine doubles, two triples, three home runs, 15 RBIs and 18 runs. She started all 30 games in which she played and had six multi-hit games and a .938 fielding percentage. Her standout game offensively was a 3-for-3 showing with a double, four RBIs and two runs against Marietta on April 9. She finished the year ranking second on the team in batting average, hits, doubles and home runs.
In three years at Otterbein, Miller has played 94 career games, starting 87 of them, and has a .336 batting average with 81 hits, 22 doubles, three triples, four home runs, 29 RBIs, 38 runs and five steals.
