DAY 1 RESULTS
WILLOUGHBY, Ohio  – The Otterbein University men's golf team sits atop the leaderboard after the opening round of the Donald Ross Invitational, hosted by John Carroll at Manakiki Golf Course. The Cardinals posted a team score of 298 (+10) on Sunday to lead the eight-team field.
Senior Jake Morgan paced the effort with an even-par 72, good enough to sit in a tie for first alongside Sean Bledsoe of Wabash. Fellow senior Ian Morgan turned in a 74 (+2) to join a four-way tie for sixth place, while classmate Carter Woodward carded a 75 (+3) to stand in a tie for 10th.
Freshman Parker Steffani delivered a steady 77 (+5) to sit tied for 20th. Rounding out the lineup were juniors Clay Bruning and Nick McMullen, each signing for 79 (+7) to sit tied for 29th.
The two-day tournament will conclude Monday with final-round action.
