Jake Morgan captured medalist honors to headline a winning effort for the Otterbein University men's golf team at the Donald Ross Invitational, hosted by John Carroll at Manakiki Golf Course. The Cardinals fired a 289 (+5) in Monday's final round to post a 587 (+15) overall, securing the top spot in the eight-team field.
Morgan delivered a strong finish with a 69 (-2) to close at 141 (-2) for the tournament, earning first place individually. Seniors Ian Morgan and Carter Woodward each tied for seventh overall after finishing at 149 (+6), carding 75s in the final round.
Junior Clay Bruning turned in an even-par 71 to climb into a tie for ninth at 150 (+7), while junior Nick McMullen added a steady 72 (+1) to finish at 151 (+8). Freshman Parker Steffani rounded out the lineup at 157 (+14) after shooting 80 on Monday.
