Men's golf stays hot, wins Denison Invitational

GRANVILLE, Ohio – Winners of three straight tournaments, the No. 44 ranked Otterbein University men's golf team won the Denison Invitational on Sunday. In the 36-hole event, the Cardinals shot a 295 followed by a 284 for a team score of 579. 

Senior Ian Morgan led the way with a 73-70 – 143 to place third overall. Fellow senior Carter Woodward tied for fourth with a 73-71 – 144 while Jake Morgan took sixth after carding a 73-72 – 145. With a 76-72 – 148, Colin Bibler finished ninth as the fourth Cardinal to earn a spot inside the top ten. Clay Bruning rounded out the 'A' team, tying for 13th after a performance of 78-71 – 149. 

The Otterbein 'B' team shot a 312 on the day, led by Parker Steffanni's 76-77 – 153. Nick McMullen shot a 74-80 – 154. Both Cam Uhl (80-81) and Noah Huard (82-79) carded a 161 for the day. 

Otterbein finished atop the standings in the event, defeating No. 26-ranked Wittenberg. The Cardinals will prepare for the OAC Championships, held Friday-Sunday at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette.
