Ian Morgan wins medalist honors, men's golf takes first at Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio – Led by Ian Morgan, the No. 40 ranked Otterbein University men's golf team won the Nye Intercollegiate Invitational, hosted by The College of Wooster at the Wooster Country Club. The Cardinals shot a two-day total of 609, with Morgan winning medalist honors. 

Morgan finished with a two-day total of 79-71 – 150 to win the event. Just one stroke behind and tied for second was junior Clay Bruning, carding a 75-76 – 151. Jake Morgan was the third Cardinal to finish inside the top five, tying for fifth overall with a 75-78 – 153. With a score of 81-75 – 156, Carter Woodward was next for Otterbein, as Colin Bibler's 82-77 – 159 rounded out the team. 

This is the seventh win of the season for the program, and fifth over their last six tournaments. On Sunday, Otterbein shot a 310 before seeing an 11-stroke improvement in Monday's round of 299.

On Sunday, Otterbein will compete in the Denison Invitational as one last tune-up before the OAC Championships.
