Bruning takes second at Ted Barclay Invitational

GRANVILLE, Ohio – In their 2026 fall debut, the Otterbein University men's golf team competed at the Ted Barclay Invitational, placing sixth of 14 teams. The Cardinals shot a two-day score of 299-294 – 593.

Senior Clay Bruning finished second in the tournament, carding a 71-67 – 138 (-4). Nick McMullen followed for Otterbein, recording a 75 on Saturday before a 73 on Sunday for a 148 for the weekend.

Parker Steffanni was the next Cardinal, totaling a 80-74 – 154. Junior Noah Huard turned in scores of 77-80 – 157, as freshman Drew Werling totaled a weekend of 76 - 83 – 159. Nate McMullen competed as an individual with a weekend performance of 74 - 82 – 156.

The Cardinals will be idle until the Crossroads Cup, hosted by Ashland University on Sep. 28-29 at Virtues Golf Club.
