GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein University men's golf team turned in a strong showing at the Ted Barclay Invitational, finishing third out of 10 teams with a two-day score of 583 (+15). The Cardinals followed up Saturday's 294 with a 289 on Sunday to secure their spot near the top of the leaderboard.
Senior Ian Morgan paced the Cardinals with a 70 (-1) in the final round, closing at 144 (+2). His effort placed him in a tie for fourth overall in the tournament standings. Fellow senior Carter Woodward was close behind after rounds of 72-73 for a 145 (+3) total.
Classmate Clay Bruning also cracked the top group, carding a 72 in the final round for a weekend score of 147 (+5). Brothers Jake and Colin Morgan rounded out the lineup, finishing at 150 (+8) and 151 (+9), respectively.
Freshman Parker Steffani continued his collegiate debut competing as an individual, posting rounds of 78-76 for a two-day total of 154 (+12).
