Women's Golf tied for lead after day one at Donald Ross Invitational

DAY 1 RESULTS

WILLOUGHBY, Ohio – The Otterbein University women's golf team opened play at the Donald Ross Invitational, finishing the first round locked in a tie for first place with the host Blue Streaks. The Cardinals combined for a 346 (+58) on the day, setting up a tight finish heading into Monday's final round.

Sophomore Alayna Meyer paced the lineup with an 82 (+10), putting her third in the 32-player field. Junior Aimee Hayes was close behind at 85 (+13), tied for fourth overall. Senior Alexa Luebbe added an 88 (+16) to sit in a tie for seventh.

A pair of Cardinals, sophomore Mia Chanthasene and freshman Mia Lewis, each turned in rounds of 91 (+19) to share 14th. Sophomore Morgan Wamer rounded out the team scoring with a 92 (+20).

The Cardinals will return to Manakik Golf Club on Monday for the final 18 holes.
