Meyer claims OAC Athlete of the Week award

WESTERVILLE – Sophomore Alayna Meyer has been chosen as the Ohio Athletic Conference women's golfer of the week, as announced on Monday.

Meyer's strong start to the season continued over the weekend at the Shenandoah Invitational. In a field of 13 teams, the sophomore placed fifth overall with a two-day score of 74-79 – 153. Her score of 74 on Saturday ties her collegiate-best round, with both other 74s coming at the Muskingum Invitational last March. Through two tournaments (four rounds) this fall, Meyer is averaging a 76.5.

She was a key factor in the Cardinals taking fifth overall as a squad at the tournament. Otterbein women's golf will be back in action Sep. 21-22 at the Donald Ross Invite, hosted by John Carroll.
