Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Otterbein women's soccer came up just short on the road Tuesday night, dropping a 1-0 battle at Wittenberg in non-conference action.
The match remained scoreless for over 75 minutes before the Tigers broke through off a corner kick, slotting home a finish inside the crowded box at the 76:11 mark. That sequence ultimately stood as the lone goal.
Otterbein generated plenty of chances in the second half, finishing with a 14-11 edge in total shots and forcing six saves from the Wittenberg keeper. The Cardinals also earned four corners down the stretch while limiting the Tigers to just three shots on target overall.
Senior Camryn Earl paced the offense with three shots, all landing on frame. Additional looks came from sophomore Alexis Pickerel, senior Cami McCulty and freshman Mia Patriarco, who each registered a shot on goal.
The Cardinals will now return home for their next outing, hosting Kenyon on September 28 inside Memorial Stadium.
