Baldwin Wallace knocks off MLAX

BEREA, Ohio – Facing off against one of the top regional teams, the Otterbein men's lacrosse team fell in a 28-6 matchup at Baldwin Wallace University. 

The Yellow Jackets controlled from start to finish, building to a 12-2 lead at halftime. In the first quarter, Nick King found Andrew Lewis for the first Cardinal goal before an unassisted strike from Gabe Thayer gave Otterbein its second of the first half. 

Otterbein netted its last four goals in the fourth quarter. Max Luther scored twice in the period and assisted on the other two Cardinal goals, one from Jack Regruth and another from Jack Kennedy.

Baldwin Wallace held the sizable edge in faceoffs, shots and ground balls. 

On Wednesday, the Cardinals head to Wilmington College for a 7 p.m. contest against the Quakers.
