Honkpo, Glenn earn OAC Athlete of the Week honors

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – On Monday, Richmond Honkpo and Alyssa Glenn were named the OAC Athletes of the Week. Honkpo earned the honor for men's field, as Glenn was the women's lacrosse defensive selection.

Honkpo earns his second Athlete of the Week award following a dominant showing at the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships over the weekend. He won the long jump with a mark of 7.15m and set a new PR in the triple jump, taking second with a leap of 14.28m. Currently, Honkpo ranks 16th nationally in the long jump and 24th in the triple jump. He and the Cardinal track and field teams will host the Otterbein Invite on Friday.

Glenn collects her third Athlete of the Week accolade, coming off a 1-1 week for the Cardinals. For the week, the junior tallied eight caused turnovers and seven ground balls, adding 13 draw controls. Additionally, Glenn scored nine goals and dished out one assist. The women's lacrosse team will play its regular season home finale on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. game against Mount Union.
