Women's Basketball Recognized Academically by WBCA

The Cardinals were an Academic Team Honor Roll special mention squad.

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Otterbein University women's basketball team was named to the 2025-26 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Team Honor Roll special mention.

The Cardinals were a special mention team, achieving a year-long cumulative GPA of 3.671. After the season, seven players were named Academic All-OAC and a trio of Cardinals were named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District.

A team must hold a 3.00 GPA or higher to be nominated.

Otterbein had a historic finish to the 2025-26 campaign. The squad boasted a 23-6 record – tying the most wins in a season – and for the first time in program history, won the OAC Tournament Championship. The Cardinals then went on to the NCAA Tournament, winning their first game and advancing to the Round of 32 for the first time in history.
