OLIVET, Mich. – The Otterbein University women's lacrosse squad bumped its winning streak to four games Thursday afternoon, taking down Olivet College by a score of 16-2 in non-conference action.

The victory comes just two days after the Cardinals buried Beloit College on its home turf, playing to a 15-4 win behind a combined nine goals from junior Tory Blatt (5) and freshman Maddy Blackburn (4).

Otterbein built a 9-3 lead by intermission at Beloit before putting the game away with three-consecutive goals to begin the second half.  The Cards finished with a 33-11 shot advantage and won 14 of 19 draw controls. Senior Kayle Quinter won six of those draw controls herself while Annie Kelly had five ground balls and four draws.

The Cardinals carried the momentum right into Thursday's matchup at Olivet, scoring the first seven goals of the contest en route to an 8-1 halftime margin. The Comets registered the first score of the second period before Otterbein rattled off eight more in a row to put the game away.

Blatt and Blackburn combined for nine goals yet again, this time with Blackburn tallying the five and Blatt posting four. Quinter picked up seven ground balls while Kelly won six draw controls.

Otterbein goalie Karen Brady made 11 stops in the net for Otterbein while Olivet's Xavier Vance had 15 of her own on the opposite end. The Cardinals held a commanding 38-16 shot advantage and were successful on 11 of 12 clear attempts.

The Cards will play two more games this weekend before concluding their spring break trip, facing Augsburg College (Minn.) Saturday afternoon at a neutral site before traveling to the Illinois Institute of Technology on Sunday.
