Following a Wilmington punt, Otterbein covered 71 yards in nine plays in its second series which ended in a Drew Ervin 6-yard run for a touchdown.

The Quakers made the game interesting when quarterback Austin Jarbo scored on a 5-yard run to pull his team within seven, trailing, 14-7, with 1:47 to play in the first quarter.

But Otterbein would score three more times before the first half ended and the rout was on. Davis hit Cole Benner on a slant over the middle and the wide receiver took it 72 yards for a score. Ervin and Reid Hutchison added a pair of rushing touchdowns, and the Cards led, 35-7, at the half.

Davis, who completed 11 of 19 pass attempts in the game, threw two more touchdown passes in the second half—one of 24 yards to Travis Laird and another of 80 yards to Logan Stepp.

Nine different players caught at least one pass in the game. Stepp, Ryan Thombs and Aaron Thompson caught two balls each.

Ervin and Hutchison got most of the carries. Ervin rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. Hutchison gained 70 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.

The Cardinals defense, which came into the game with an OAC-leading 12 pass sacks, added eight more in Saturday's win. Tyler Green and Evan Bergenstein were credited with two each.

Outside linebacker Will Brett led Otterbein with 12 tackles, including five unassisted. Brett also had a sack. Inside linebackers Austin Jones and Preston Pearson collected 10 stops each. Jones recovered a fumble and sacked the quarterback once.

The Cardinals outgained Wilmington, 471 to 365 yards in total offense, and committed no turnovers in the game.

This marks Otterbein's eighth-straight win over Wilmington.
