WINNECONE, Wisc. – Otterbein University's Ian Kellogg and Claire Lamb represented the Cardinals well on the national stage Saturday at the NCAA Championships, hosted by Wisconsin-Oshkosh at the Lake Breeze Golf Club.

Lamb, a freshman from Granville, ran her way to a 43rd-place finish out of 280 runners to record the second-best finish by a female in program history. All-American and Hall of Famer Marcia Foulke Ziegler registered 30th place all the way back in 1995.

Lamb covered the 6K course in a solid time of 21:51, marking the second-best time of her impressive inaugural season wearing a Cardinal uniform. She finished top-3 in all five of her other races this fall.

Kellogg, a freshman from Bexley, covered his 8K distance in a time of 25:27 to finish 86th in the 278-runner field. He had a 6:20 split and recorded Otterbein's best male result at the NCAA's since 2005, when All-American Mike Sawicki came in sixth and teammate Mike Cauley finished 38th.

Kellogg finished top-5 in four different events this year before his recent 12th-place result at the Great Lakes Regional. Both he and Lamb finished as the third-fastest freshmen in the country for the respective genders in 2015.

The Otterbein women made program history this season as the first team to ever win an Ohio Athletic Conference Championship.
