AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Otterbein University sophomore
Claire Lamb (Granville/Granville) received Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) 'Runner of the Week' accolades, announced Monday afternoon by league office.
Lamb, who notches her second weekly award this season, paced the Cardinals this past Saturday at the Inter-Regional Border Battle with a personal-best time of 21:06.4 to earn her a seventh-place finish out of 386 runners on the 6K course, hosted by Rowan University.
The finish helped Lamb fly past her previous-best time by 35 seconds en route to the Cards taking sixth-place out of 45 teams in a highly-competitive field consisting of the top teams in NCAA Division III. She has now placed in the top-10 in all four races so far this season, including a pair of first-place finishes.
Otterbein will enjoy a week off from competition in preparation for the OAC Championships on Oct. 29, hosted by Capital University.
