A jumper in the paint by sophomore forward Kiersten Taylor gave the Cards an eight-point advantage to begin the second period, before Taylor and Huck converted consecutive baskets to inflate the Otterbein lead to 21-11 at the 8:19 mark.

BW chipped away at the Cardinal lead over the next three minutes, as freshman guard Hannah Fecht connected on two three-pointers to help her team take its first lead in over 10 minutes at 26-25.
