BEREA, Ohio – The Otterbein volleyball team launched Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play in style Wednesday evening up north, trouncing host Baldwin Wallace in straight sets by scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-10.
The Cardinals, defending conference champions, bumped their winning streak to 11 matches while playing without head coach
Monica Wright and lead assistant
Josie Andres. Nevertheless, capable taskmasters
Max Miller and
Megan Mills helped lead the charge in yet another sweep.
Otterbein has not lost a set in three weeks and received a healthy number of votes once again in the latest AVCA national poll. They defeat BW for a sixth time in the last seven meetings.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Cardinals hit a blistering .367 in the opening set, falling behind 6-3 until kicking into gear with a 20-8 scoring run as things unfolded.

- Otterbein only led 8-6 in the second before taking control once again, using an 8-0 tun to create separation and never look back. The efficient Cards hit .333 in the frame.

- A dominant third set would be all Otterbein, which held a 9-1 lead and then delivered a knockout 8-0 run later on to open a commanding 21-4 margin.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Otterbein hit .327 for the entire contest while holding the Yellow Jackets to just a .043 output.

- The Cards finished with an 8-2 edge in total blocking, led by four block assists from both Amber Greeley and Madison McCoy.

- Morgan Hartman went 12-2-26Â (.393) on the outside while setter Carlie Craycraft controlled the show from start to finish, posting a double-double with 25 assists and 11Â digs.

- Cecilia Hamisch had nine kills to lead BW, which fell to 14-4 on the season.
