Freshman Tucker See named OAC Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Year

WESTERVILLE – Otterbein freshman Tucker See was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Year, the league announced on Friday.

The recognition comes on the heels of an impressive 2024 season for See that saw him earn All-Ohio Athletic Conference and All-Great Lakes Region honors as well.

See competed in six meets in 2024 and was one of Otterbein's top finishers in each of them.

He placed 76th of 153 runners in the 5K Mike Baumer Classic in 16:15 and competed in five 8K races.

He was 16th of 196 runners at the All-Ohio Championships with a time of 26:24, 159th of 405 runners at the NCAA Division III Pre-Nationals in 26:39 and 164th of 436 runners in the premier Gold Division of the Augustana Interregional Invite in 26:21.

He capped the year with a successful postseason, earning Second Team All-OAC honors with a 13th-place finish in the 176-man field at the OAC Championships in a career-best 25:21 and proceeded to earn All-Great Lakes Region status with a 33rd-place finish in the 283-man field at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championships in 25:46.

As a team, the Cardinals finished fourth at the OAC Championships and 10th at the Great Lakes Regionals.
