FAIRBORN - The Otterbein men's cross country team placed third of five teams at the Wild Bill Invitational on Friday.

The Basics

• Hosted by Wright State, the Wild Bill Invitational consisted of an 8K race held at Fairborn Community Park in Fairborn, Ohio. The venue featured a relatively flat, fast course with all grass footing.

• The Cardinals scored 65 points and placed third out of five teams.
• Overall, Lindsey Wilson College was the top team finisher with 30 points followed by Wright State in second with 62 points.
• The top three individual finishers were unattached runner Ben Fahnestock in 25:27, Lindsey Wilson's Justin Stearns in 25:32 and unattached runner Nick Cook in 25:46.

• Sophomore Caleb Rafferty led the way for the Cardinals, placing ninth in the 56-man field in 26:14.
• Freshman Brannon Moser Jr. finished 28th in 27:42.
• Freshman Deven Deskins finished 33rd in 27:59.
• Junior Alec Spangler finished 36th in 28:14.
• Freshman Henry Barnes finished 40th in 28:45.
• Senior Evan Radecki finished 41st in 28:55.

Notables

• Moser, Spangler, and Radecki all posted personal-best times for an 8K race.
