Cards Topple Muskingum, End League Slate on High Note

FINAL RESULTS

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – It was a fast Friday for the Otterbein wrestling team, which made very quick work of host Muskingum to win its culminating Ohio Athletic Conference dual by a score of 44-9.

The Cardinals finish their league slate with a 3-4 record, while also picking up their sixth head-to-head victory of the season. They have now defeated the Muskies in all seven meetings in the all-time series.

Muskingum took the first and last bouts of the evening, but Otterbein captured all of the others to rest comfortably ahead by the final horn.

Andrew Sas (141) turned in a dominant 20-2 technical fall while Nathan Leko (149) also did the same, with his coming by a 17-1 margin. Austin Amens (157) churned out an 11-1 major decision in the middle bout.

Eric Saddler (133), Cale Callahan (165), Josh Taylor (174), Cade Holmes (184) and Caiden Hooks (197) all won via forfeit. Callahan finishes 6-1 in the OAC this season.

Otterbein will have one more dual remaining before turning its full attention to NCAA Regionals, as the group heads to Thomas More on Valentine's Day.
