Football Welcomes Goulet as New Co-Offensive Coordinator

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Otterbein football program is excited to announce the addition of a new full-time co-offensive coordinator. Interim head coach and offensive coordinator Jake Schaefer is pleased to welcome Jack Goulet to the coaching staff. Goulet will work alongside Schaefer in directing the offensive unit, bringing extensive experience and expertise to the position.

"After interviewing several candidates, it became clear that Coach Goulet was the clear choice to help take this program to the next level." Schaefer expressed. "We had two main factors that were huge in the hiring process and that was the ability to develop offensive linemen and the ability to recruit high quality players across the country. Jack has been very impressive in his career as a coach and has earned more responsibility at each of his coaching stops."

Goulet spent the past two years at NAIA Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska, where he took on various roles, including Offensive Line Coach, Academic Coordinator, Run Game Coordinator, Director of Football Operations, and Recruiting Coordinator. His leadership led to the development of four All-Conference Offensive Linemen, and the Warriors achieved a top-ten national ranking in rushing yards per game. Over his two seasons, the team recorded a 14-8 record.

"I am excited and honored to join the Otterbein football program as the Co-Offensive Coordinator. I'm incredibly grateful to Coach Schaefer and Dr. Lott for this opportunity," Goulet said. "I'm eager to recruit in Ohio, where high school football is exceptionally strong. This high level of play is a key reason why the OAC consistently ranks as one of the top conferences in Division III football."

Goulet has previously coached at his alma mater, Central Methodist University, where he developed two all-conference offensive linemen and helped the team win their conference championship. Additionally, he served as the Offensive Line Coach at Robert Morris University.

"There is no doubt that Otterbein has the potential to be a great program, and I am going to do everything I can to make that happen. I can't wait to get to work with the staff and the players!" Says Goulet.

A native of Palmdale, California, Goulet started his collegiate playing career at Antelope Valley College as an offensive lineman and long snapper before transferring to Central Methodist University to complete both his undergraduate and graduate studies.

"He understands the value of the student-athlete experience and, as a father himself, he connects well with our players. With extensive experience coordinating the run game and having worked with various coaches throughout his career, his offensive skill set is highly versatile. This variety was a crucial factor in our search for a Co-Offensive Coordinator. His energy and passion for the game immediately caught my attention, and I'm thrilled to work with him this fall," said Schaefer.

Goulet is scheduled to officially begin on campus this Wednesday.
