HEBRON, Ky. – The Otterbein women's golf team made the most of its final outing of the fall, capturing first place at the Polar Bear Classic hosted by Ohio Northern.
The Cardinals posted a team score of 345 (+57) to top the five-team field. Sophomore Alayna Meyer led the way with a strong 82 (+10) performance to finish second overall. Senior Alexa Luebbe followed close behind in third after carding an 85 (+13), while sophomore Morgan Wamer placed fifth with an 87 (+15).
Freshman Mia Lewis turned in a 90 (+18) to round out the team score, with sophomore Mia Chanthasene right behind at 91 (+19). Additional Otterbein competitors included junior Aimee Hayes at 97 (+25), freshman Hailey McKenzie with a 100 (+28), and freshman Lauren Griffith shooting 103 (+31).
The performance in Kentucky capped a consistent stretch of tournaments for the Cardinals, who will return to the course when spring play begins.
