WOOSTER — Senior Alivia Baus tied for second place to lead the Otterbein women's golf team to a second-place finish at the one-round Wooster Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational on Monday.

The Tournament

• Otterbein posted a team score of a 54-over-par 342 to finish second of five teams.
• Wittenberg claimed the team title with a 12-stroke victory, carding a 42-over-par 330. Wooster was third with a 66-over-par 354.
• Wittenberg's Hillary Humbaugh won medalist honors with a 7-over-par 79.

Otterbein Individual Results

• Baus led the Cardinals, tying for second place in the 37-woman field with an 11-over-par 83.
• Freshman Alayna Meyer tied for fifth, posting a 12-over-par 84.
• Junior Alexa Luebbe placed eighth with a 13-over-par 85.
• Freshman Morgan Wamer tied for 13th after shooting an 18-over-par 90.
• Sophomore Aimee Hayes tied for 17th with a 21-over-par 93.
• Freshman Mia Chanthasene rounded out the Cardinal contingent with a 24th-place finish, posting a 24-over-par 96.
• Otterbein's starting five consisted of Baus, Meyer, Luebbe, Wamer, and Hayes. Chanthasene played as an individual.

Notables

• Entering Monday, Alayna Meyer (78.4) and Alivia Baus (83.7) led the Cardinals in 18-hole scoring averages among those with at least 13 rounds played this season.
• Meyer entered Monday with a season-best 18-hole score of 74 to lead the team and was coming off winning medalist honors at the Marietta Pioneer Classic and Muskingum Invitational.
• Alexa Luebbe, Aimee Hayes and Baus are reigning All-Ohio Athletic Conference honorees.
• Otterbein has won three of the past 10 OAC championships (2015, 2022, 2023) and has finished as the OAC runner-up six times in that span.
• Head coach Brian Booher is a three-time OAC Coach of the Year in women's golf and has guided four OAC individual champions (2014, 2015, 2017, 2022).
