Four Cardinals named WGCA All-American Scholars

FRISCO, Tx. – Four members of the Otterbein University women's golf team were named WGCA All-American Scholars. Alexa Luebbe, Hailey McKenzie, Mia Lewis and Morgan Wamer all earned recognition.

Luebbe, a recent graduate, can add one more accolade to her storied career with the Cardinals. After receiving All-OAC, Academic All-OAC and CSC Academic All-District status, she concludes her career with one final accolade. Competing as Otterbein's No. 1 golfer, she averaged an 83 on the year and was the medalist at the Muskingum Invitational.

McKenzie finished her freshman campaign averaging just under a 93 over the span of 13 rounds. Her classmate, Lewis, competed in 17 rounds shooting a season-low 81.

Wamer rounds out the selections after earning All-OAC honors this season. As a sophomore last year, she shot a season-low score of 78 at the Shenandoah Invitational. She wrapped up the year placing 11th at the OAC Championships with a three-day total of 248.

To be named a WCGA All-American Scholar, one must hold a cumulative GPA of a 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the season, and have played in 50 percent of the team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds.
