WESTERVILLE – Otterbein freshman Anastasia Smith was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the week of March 31 to April 6.

The accolade comes after she won the shot put at the Wooster Invitational with a mark of 12.99 meters, which ranks fifth all-time at Otterbein, as the Cardinals finished second of nine teams at the meet.

Smith continues making her mark as a freshman, as she closed the indoor season with a personal-best mark of 12.30 meters in the shot put, which ranks ninth all-time at Otterbein.

The Cardinals return to action on Friday and Saturday at the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships at Ohio Wesleyan.
