Otterbein celebrates Olivia Shore on Senior Night

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Legacy.

Celebrating Olivia Shore on Senior Night, the Otterbein University women's wrestling team put together two strong performances in duals against Manchester and Hiram. Prior to the matches, the Cardinals recognized Shore – the first senior in program history – for her contributions to Otterbein and building the foundation for future Cardinals. Additionally, she was presented her 2025 National Championship ring in front of a standing ovation inside a packed Rike Center.

Manchester 26 Otterbein 23

Starting the night off with a bang, freshman Vita Savage needed just 56 seconds to pin Jackeline Shackleford to give the Cardinals a 5-0 lead. At 110, Shore stepped to the mat and earned five more points for the hosts, earning a pin in 1:35. Manchester briefly halted the momentum with a pin at 117, but Otterbein answered, winning the next two bouts.

At 124, Morgan Leonhardt needed just 1:01 to pin Andrea Rodriguez. Alicia Coleman followed in the next bout with a 14-1 tech fall victory to push Otterbein ahead 19-6 midway through the match. The Spartans won four of the final five matches. Freshman Kaitlyn McCann defeated Tessa Allen by a 14-4 tech fall at 180 for Otterbein's final win of the match.

Otterbein 39 Hiram 10

The Terriers forfeited the first three weight classes to give Otterbein a 15-0 lead heading into 124. Leonhardt made quick work of Kretina Rei, earning an 11-0 tech fall. At 131, Kira Cole added five points with a pin in 1:48 to secure a 24-0 advantage through five bouts.

Following two forfeits by Hiram at 138 and 145, the Cardinals scored their final five points of the match courtesy of Sarah Abner. Abner pinned Allydia Byard in 1:02 before the Terriers won at 180 and 207.

Next weekend, Otterbein will have its final tune-up before Regional at the Quad Cities DIII National Invite, hosted by Augustana.
