DELAWARE, Ohio – The Otterbein University track and field teams delivered a strong showing at the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships, with the men's squad finishing runner-up with 99 points and the women placing fourth with 92 points. Top-three finishers at the meet earned All-Ohio honors.
On the men's side, junior Richmond Honkpo led the way with a dominant performance in the jumps. He captured the long jump title with a mark of 7.15 meters and followed with a runner-up finish in the triple jump (14.28m), earning All-Ohio recognition in both events. His triple jump mark also moved him from 10th to third on Otterbein's all-time list.
The Cardinals saw additional All-Ohio efforts in the field from junior Joe Hill, who placed third in the pole vault (4.55m), and sophomore Joab Bockstoce, who cleared 1.96 meters to take third in the high jump. Sophomore Jaret Harting added a third-place finish in the long jump (6.93m), while freshman Lisbon James placed sixth in the discus (42.95m) and sophomore Noah Gaydos took seventh in the shot put.
Otterbein's distance group shined on the track, highlighted by junior Brady Pugh winning the 3000m steeplechase in 9:27.66 and later adding a sixth-place finish in the 5000m (15:17.30). Senior Payne Ratliff also claimed a title in the 10,000m with a time of 31:35.59, while junior Corey Rafferty finished fifth in the same event (32:45.19).
In the hurdles, sophomore Marquez Whitehead placed second in the 400m hurdles (54.44) and freshman Logan Smith followed in third (55.29), with both earning All-Ohio honors. Freshman Jackson Steider added a fifth-place finish in the 110m hurdles (15.27).
The 4x400m relay team of Whitehead, Jack Van Fossen, Quintin Conrad, and Grant Hartley capped the meet with a runner-up finish, clocking a time of 3:20.61 to earn All-Ohio recognition.
On the women's side, Otterbein claimed multiple event titles, led by sophomore Anastasia Smith, who won the shot put with a mark of 12.48 meters. Senior Charlie Dolliver turned in a standout meet, winning both the long jump (5.18m) and triple jump (11.60m) to earn All-Ohio honors. Her triple jump mark also ranks second on the program's all-time list.
Junior Landry Driskel added another victory in the discus with a throw of 42.74 meters, while Dolliver also earned All-Ohio recognition in the 100m hurdles with a third-place finish (14.53).
In the jumps, junior Hannah Green placed fourth in the long jump (4.86m), and freshman Addy Westbrooks cleared 1.48 meters in the high jump.
On the track, freshman Gigi Leiter secured All-Ohio honors with a third-place finish in the 800m (2:19.12). In the distance events, sophomore Brenna Lay (12:02.07) and junior Abby Kobs (12:09.17) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 3000m steeplechase. Senior Rachel Ziel added a sixth-place finish in the 10,000m (39:23.67).
Junior Ava Stratmann (4:49.89) and freshman Ella Degenhard (4:52.42) placed sixth and eighth in the 1500m, while freshman Sienna Westbrooks ran 59.99 to finish seventh in the 400m. Dolliver also placed fourth in the 400m hurdles (1:07.61).
The 4x400m relay team of A. Westbrooks, S. Westbrooks, Leiter, and Mallory Bostick placed fourth with a time of 4:08.19.
