Three recognized with Academic All-District honors

WESTERVILLE – Three Otterbein University student-athletes were selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team, as announced on Tuesday. Wrestlers Caiden Hooks and Luke Dolan were named, as well as Zach Mulligan from the men's lacrosse program.

Hooks and Dolan receive their first honor, representing the men's wrestling squad. Hooks, a senior, rounds out his career with one more accolade. Rising junior Dolan placed seventh last year at the NCAA Regional Championships in the 157-pound weight class to lead the Cardinals at the tournament.

Mulligan was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for the second consecutive season. A standout on the Cardinal lacrosse team, Mulligan eclipsed the 100 career point mark in his final game at Otterbein.

The at-large team encompasses student-athletes from 23 different sports. One must be a sophomore or higher in athletic and academic standing and hold a cumulative GPA of a 3.50 or better. Athletic participation requirements vary by sport and can be found at the CSC website.
