Lexi Scott earns OAC Athlete of the Week honor

WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- Senior Lexi Scott has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week in volleyball, as announced on Tuesday afternoon for the (RV) Cardinals. Scott was key in Otterbein turning in a perfect 3-0 opening week.

In Tuesday's five set win over (RV) Wittenberg, Scott posted 18 kills on 41 swings, hitting at a .317 mark. She followed up that performance with seven kills in just two sets against Franciscan before finishing with her best game of the week against (RV) Washington & Lee. Against the generals, the outside hitter totaled 16 kills on 24 swings with no errors for a .667 clip.

On Friday, the Cardinals will compete in the Pam Briggs Classic hosted by Capital University. Otterbein will play Washington & Jefferson and Hanover before ending the weekend at home against Trine on Saturday morning.
