Phillis, a junior guard from Zanesville, helped lead Otterbein to its first win of the young season last week with an impressive performance against Denison.

Phillis scored a game-high 24 points in the 69-67 win, nailing the go-ahead three-pointer with 33 seconds remaining to put the Cards on top for good. He connected on four three-pointers in addition to five rebounds and two steals over 37 minutes of action.

Phillis also scored in double figures during Otterbein's other two games, tallying 13 at Wittenberg and registering 17 points and six assists against Marian (Ind.) in the Ballenger Tournament championship.
