Men's Tennis Defeated by Ohio Northern

Match Results

ADA, Ohio – The Cardinal men’s tennis team was defeated 8-1 by Ohio Northern University Saturday afternoon in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) action.

The loss drops Otterbein to 8-5 overall, 1-2 in league play. Meanwhile, the Polar Bears improve to 3-0 in the OAC, 9-4 overall.

The Cardinals picked up their lone win of the day behind the freshman doubles pair of Will Willson and David Seckel. The duo won No. 1 doubles 9-8 (7-5) to prevent Ohio Northern from earning a shutout.

Singles play did not go the Cardinals way, as all six matches went to the Polar Bears in straight sets.

Otterbein will return home Wednesday, April 10, for a conference tilt with Wilmington College. The match is set to start at 3:30 p.m.
