Final Results

HARROD, Ohio - The Otterbein men's golf team wrapped up the fall season on Sunday afternoon, winning its fourth consecutive tournament, this time at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Fall Invitational.

After inclement weather canceled Saturday's initial round of play, the invitational was reduced to one round on Sunday afternoon at Colonial Golf Club.

The Cardinals shot 308 on the par-72 course to finish three strokes ahead of Mount Union and Capital, which both tied for second-place. John Carroll (312) placed fourth, while host Ohio Northern (316) rounded out the top five.

Otterbein, led by David Monaco, placed five golfers in the top 15 of the 53-player field. Monaco tied for first-place with Logan Holbrook of Capital, each shooting a 74, before Holbrook edged Monaco for medalist honors with a par on the third playoff hole. It was Monaco's fourth time this fall that he finished in the top two competitors.

Austin Wells put in his fourth top five finish of the season, placing in a four-way tie for seventh-place with a 77 on the day. Tyler Elgin and Kris Clarke followed in a four-way tie for 11th place, both shooting a round of 78. Luke Kindelin ended one stroke behind in an eight-way tie, garnering a share of 15th place.

Rounding out the Cardinals playing field was Adam Crider with an 81, finishing in a six-way tie for 25th place; Ryan Karapas and Andrew Kotey completed their rounds as part of a five-way tie for 39th place, both recording scores of 84.

The Cardinals conclude the fall season having placed in the top two teams in five of their six tournaments, posting a 297.7 stroke average as a team through 10 rounds.

Through the current season, Otterbein's top three golfers by average strokes per round include Monaco with 72.7 through 10 rounds, Luke Kindelin with 75.1 over nine rounds, and Austin Wells with 83.1 in 10 rounds.
