Match ResultsWESTERVILLE, Ohio—The Otterbein University men's tennis team moved a step closer to securing at least a share of the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) regular-season title, turning back Baldwin Wallace University, 6-3, Tuesday in Westerville.

The Cardinals, holding a half-game lead in the OAC with one match to go, won five of six singles matches to pull out the win against the Yellow Jackets. Otterbein sits atop the OAC standings with a 6-1 conference record and is followed by John Carroll University, 5-1, and Capital University, 4-1.

"The players knew BW would be a tough challenge and the wind would be difficult," said Otterbein head coach Mark Anderson. "We got off to a slow start, losing two of the three doubles matches. But they played extremely well in singles to give us a 6-3 victory."

Will Willson and David Seckel picked up Otterbein's lone win in doubles, an 8-6 victory on court one.

Four of the six singles matches went to three sets.

Willson won both of his matches, including a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win at No. 1 singles.

The other four points came from Kendall Coffman, 7-5, 6-2 at No. 3, Zach McDivitt, 6-2, 6-7 (2-7), 6-0 at No. 4, Perry Williams, 0-6, 7-5, 7-5 at No. 5, and Sam Lawless, 6-0, 2-6, 6-3 at No. 6.

Otterbein is scheduled to close out the regular season with a home match against Heidelberg University, 1 p.m., Saturday.
