Invite ResultsNORTH BEND, Ohio - The Otterbein University men's golf team tallied its sixth-straight win after capturing the Mount St. Joseph Invitational played at Aston Oaks Golf Club on Friday and Saturday.
Otterbein, which has placed first or second in all but one invitational this season, shot a 627 as a team to top host MSJ by three strokes. Thomas More rounded out the top three finishers with a 641 over the two-day event.Â
Senior
David Monaco led the Cardinals and placed third overall among 78 total competitors with a 152 (78-74), shooting eight over on the par-72 course. Classmate
Luke Kindelin finished second on the team and tied for ninth-place overall with a 158 (77-81).
Fellow senior
Adam Crider finished one stroke behind Kindelin, shooting rounds of 77 and 82 for a share of 12th-place. Junior
Kris Clarke, who led the Cards after one round, ended the event with a 162 (76-86) good for a tie for 21st-place.Â
Sophomores
Austin Wells and
Tyler Elgin rounded out the top-five finishers for the Cards, each shooting a 166 over 36 holes.Â
The Cardinals return to the course on Apr. 2 - 3 at the OWU Strimer Memorial Invitational at Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio.
