North Ridgeville, Ohio - The Otterbein University men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 match to Baldwin Wallace on Saturday afternoon inside the North Ridge Racquet Club.

Otterbein (7-6 overall) snaps its four-match win streak with the loss, moving to 1-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play.

The Cards dropped two of their three doubles matches and all but one in singles, with the lone doubles win coming from the top doubles duo of seniors Will Willson and David Seckel. The pair outlasted the Yellow Jackets' Peter Harris and Dough Ganim (8-6).

Freshman Tyler Wharton was a bright spot for the Cards in singles play, battling BW's Jake Lieber to a tiebreak set and winning 7-3 (0-6, 6-1, 7-6).  

Junior Ben Keen and freshman Perry Williams fell in No. 2 doubles against Kyle Patterson and Dominic Polifrone (8-1), while senior Zach McDivitt and freshman Derek Krieger played to a tough loss to Kevin Fredrick and Matt Harris (8-6) as the No. 3.

The Cardinals return home this coming Tuesday for a 3:30 p.m. tilt against Ohio Northern and then travel to cross-town rival Capital next Saturday.
