WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The No. 3-seeded Cardinal men's tennis team defeated sixth-seeded Ohio Northern, 5-0, in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament quarterfinal match.

Otterbein (13-7 overall) reaches the semifinals of the OAC Tournament for the sixth-straight season and is currently riding a four-match win streak. The Cardinals will face second-seeded Baldwin Wallace in a semifinal matchup on Friday at 4:30 p.m. at the Lindner Tennis Center in Mason.

The Cards began the match outdoors at the Sanders Tennis Courts, but was later forced inside to the Clements Rec Center due to inclement weather. Otterbein took a 3-0 lead after sweeping doubles play, as David Seckel and Will Willson led the way in the No. 1 spot with a win over ONU's John Mostowy and Tim Kargl (8-4).

Ben Keen and Perry Williams followed as the No. 2, defeating David Hayman and Jake Abbot (8-3), while Derek Krieger and Zach McDivitt cruised past Daniel Warren and Alex Genbauffe (8-1).

The Cardinals tallied their other two victories in singles play, with McDivitt topping Hayman in the three spot (6-2, 6-1) and Keen taking down Abbot as the No. 4 (6-1, 6-1).

The win was also the initial postseason victory for first-year head coach Tyler Stephen.
