Match Results

MASON, Ohio - The third-seeded Otterbein University men's tennis team exited the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament with a 6-1 loss to No. 2-seeded Baldwin Wallace in a quarterfinal match at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.

The Cardinals finish their 2015-16 campaign with a 13-8 overall record, having reached the semifinals of the OAC Tournament for the sixth-straight season. First-year head coach Tyler Stephen also recorded his initial postseason victory with a 5-0 shutout of Ohio Northern on Wednesday.

Otterbein fell behind 2-1 after doubles play, with the team's No. 2 tandem of junior Ben Keen and freshman Perry Williams finishing first in a loss to BW's Kyle Patterson and Dominic Polifrone (8-2).

Senior Zach McDivitt and freshman Derek Krieger followed as the No. 3 with a tough defeat to Matt Harris and Kevin Fredrick (8-5), before senior David Seckel, the reiging OAC 'Player of the Week', and classmate Will Willson got the Cards their first win after topping Peter Harris and Doug Ganim (8-5).

The Cardinals then suffered three losses in singles, as BW closed out the match with it's closes margin of victory coming in No. 2 singles.

Seniors Kevin Adell, Zach McDivitt, David Seckel and Will Willson all close the book on a successful playing career, totaling an overall record of 60-31 including a stellar mark of 26-7 in OAC regular-season competition.
