DELAWARE, Ohio - The Otterbein men's tennis team posts a strong 6-3 victory over Penn St.-Behrend on Sunday afternoon to post its second win in the last four matchups in non-conference action.

The Cardinals (3-6 overall) were originally scheduled to host the Lions on campus but decided to move the match to Ohio Wesleyan's indoor tennis facility, the Gordon Field House.

Otterbein claimed the first victory of the day in third-doubles as sophomore Juan Vera and freshman Logan Sullivan teamed up for an 8-3 win over the Lions' Michael Duckett and Noah Colvin, before PSU-Behrend knotted the match at one point apiece with a 7-4 tie-break set win in first-doubles which pushed Yanique Apgar and Scott Russell past seniors Perry Williams and Ben Keen.

Sophomores Tyler Wharton and Derek Krieger quickly helped the Cardinals regain the lead with a 9-7 victory in second-doubles over Brent McFarland and Brandon Dollard, improving the duo's mark to 7-4 on the year for a team-high in doubles wins.

PSU-Behrend took its first lead of the day following a pair of wins in first and second-singles, before Otterbein ended the match with four-straight wins in third through sixth-singles.

Krieger tied the match at three apiece with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Dollard in fourth-singles, before Wharton helped the Cards regain the lead for good with a 6-4, 6-2 defeat of McFarland in third-doubles.

Freshman Riley Yost, who picked up a team-leading seventh win in sixth-singles, shutout Brett Palmer, 6-0, 6-0, before Vera closed out the match with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Jeremy Burnheimer in fifth-singles.

The Cardinals have a quick turnaround as they host Grove City (Pa.) tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Location on campus for the match has yet to be determined.
