MARIETTA, Ohio - The Cardinal men's tennis team recorded its fourth-straight win with a 9-0 victory at Marietta on Wednesday afternoon in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) matchup.

Otterbein (10-8 overall) improves its mark in conference play to 4-1 on the season, having now won eight of its last 10 games with three games remaining on the regular-season schedule. The Cardinals open a two-game roadtrip next Thursday starting with a trip to John Carroll at 3:30 p.m.

The Cardinals opened up the match with wins in all three doubles matches, including an 8-0 win in third doubles from sophomore Juan Vera and freshman Logan Sullivan, before sophomores Derek Krieger and Tyler Wharton extended their unbeaten streak to 11-straight with an 8-1 win in second doubles.

Seniors Ben Keen and Perry Williams wrapped up doubles competition for the Cards with a gritty 8-6 victory in the top spot, giving the team a 3-0 advantage heading into singles play.

Otterbein zoomed to victory from that point forward with three sweeps in singles credited to Wharton, the reigning OAC Player of the Week', in the third spot followed by Vera as the No. 5 and freshman Riley Yost as the No. 6, adding to his team-best 15-4 overall record in singles.

Williams (6-2, 6-0) and Keen (6-1, 6-1) also fared well at one and two, respectively, while Krieger captured fourth singles by a mark of 6-0, 6-1. Otterbein now has five players with nine or more wins in singles competition so far this season.
