Otterbein, still in search of its first victory of the season, now fall to 0-14 overall and 0-8 in league play after battling back from a 16-point deficit at halftime and as many as 21 points in the second half to cut into the BW lead on multiple occasions.
Baldwin Wallace (12-3 overall), ranked 25th in the latest D3hoops.com national poll, upped its record in conference play to 6-2 after jumping out to a 16-7 advantage through the first five minutes of the contest.
The Cardinals kept their deficit within single digits, trailing 20-11 just under the 14-minute mark, before the Yellow Jackets put together a 13-6 scoring run to take a 16-point advantage. The margin would stay the same at halftime in favor of BW, as guard
Andre Bradley greatly helped Otterbein stay within reach scoring 10 points in the frame.
BW quickly boosted its lead to 53-32 less than two minutes into the second half, before five quick points by Bradley and a jumper by fellow guard
Nick Koontz shrunk the deficit to 53-39 with 17 minutes remaining.
Cardinal guard
Maurice Beavers also aided the team moving within 10 points of the Yellow Jackets with one minute left to play, as he poured in 10 points over the final 14 minutes.
Bradley led the way for the Cardinals with a career-best 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting to accompany eight rebounds, two assists and a pair of blocks. Beavers followed with 14 points, five shy of his season-high, connecting on two three-pointers while going 6 of 11 from the field.
