BEREA, Ohio – The Otterbein men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision at Baldwin Wallace on Saturday in its regular-season finale in Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) play.
The Cardinals will now turn their attention to next week's OAC Tournament where they will be the five-seed and head right back to fourth-seeded BW for a quarterfinal matchup Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
Otterbein collected just three points in the match, the first coming in second doubles from juniors
Tyler Wharton and
Derek Krieger by a score of 9-7 over Jake Elbin and Alex Papke.
It was fellow junior
Juan Vera who tallied the next point for the Cards, taking fourth singles in three sets over Roger Boyer by a count of 7-6 (9-7), 0-6, 10-6.
Sophomore
Riley Yost tallied the other point for Otterbein after a straight-set defeat of Papke in the six spot by a score of 6-1, 6-1.
