TOURNAMENT WEBSITE

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Otterbein University and its baseball program will serve as host of the 2018 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament, scheduled to run May 10-12 at Fishbaugh Field.

The Cardinals (28-12, 14-4 OAC) claimed their second conference regular-season championship in the past three years over the weekend, winning the league outright after splitting a doubleheader with Marietta to finish two games ahead of the Pioneers.

Baldwin Wallace will be the No. 3 seed and Ohio Northern assumes the fourth seed as both teams emerged from a three-way tiebreaker with Heidelberg.

Otterbein opens against Ohio Northern (27-13, 11-7 OAC) on Thursday at noon before Marietta (26-14, 12-6 OAC) and Baldwin Wallace (28-12, 11-7 OAC) square off in the second game, scheduled for approximately 3 p.m. or roughly 30 minutes following the conclusion of game one.

The Cardinals enter as the defending champion, sweeping through last season's OAC Tournament in three-straight games at host Mount Union to earn the league's automatic NCAA bid. Marietta is also back in the tournament, BW returns following a one-year absence and Ohio Northern is competing for the first time since 2000.
