Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Otterbein football team absorbed a 58-0 loss at the hands of No. 2-ranked Mount Union Saturday afternoon in an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) matchup from Alliance.
The Cardinals, now 0-5 overall, will head into its bye week looking to regroup before a Saturday evening contest at Heidelberg come October 19. Mount Union, last year's national runner-up that has made at least the NCAA semifinals for 24-straight years, improves to 4-0 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Mount Union hit an 82-yard TD pass to Justin Hill less than four minutes into the game, giving Hill his 47th career scoring grab and tying him with former standout turned NFL receiver Pierre Garcon.

- The Purple Raiders held a 28-0 lead after one quarter, a 49-0 lead at intermission, and kicked three field goals in the second half.

- Mount Union finished with a 624-90 edge in total offense, held a 38:13 time of possession and was 10 of 12 on third down.

- Otterbein freshman quarterback Logan Pharmer, making his first collegiate start, went 5 of 19 for 32 yards. Matt Webb rushed six times for 18 yards while Dom Ross had four catches for 32 yards.

- Niall Lewison led the defense in tackling for a fifth-straight game, tallying 10 stops, while fellow safety Zach Smith had nine of his own. Derrick O'Conner and Brandon Paschal had eight tackles each.

- Sophomore linebacker Greg Nolder had a 13-yrd sack, forced fumble and recovery. Otterbein's defense had four TFL on the day.

- Senior Luke Green-Lauber, who ranks top-10 nationally in net punting, averaged 41.1 yards per kick across nine attempts. He had one boot of 74 yards, tying the second-longest punt in program history.
